The 2016 First-Year Player Draft was a banner year for Division II baseball, with 92 players drafted across baseball in 40 rounds of picks. With our last bit of acknowledging the 2016 Division II baseball players, we take a look at what each of those 92 draft picks went ahead and did in their first professional seasons between the draft and the end of the year. 2016 Division II MLB Draft Preview

The 2016 MLB First Year Player Draft begins on Thursday (June 9) with the opening two rounds at 6 p.m. Eastern, while Friday (June 10) is rounds 3-10 at 1 p.m. Eastern and Saturday (June 11) concludes the draft with rounds 11-40 at noon Eastern. Nova Southeastern Wins 2016 National Championship

The if necessary game turned out to be entirely unnecessary on Saturday, as the Sharks of Nova Southeastern University weathered an early 3-0 hole and came back to win, 8-6 over Millersville, to claim the program's first national championship.
