Marquee Match-Up of the Week Heads Out West Again!

Yet another weekend of some fun-filled match-ups on the docket in the world of Division II baseball! We are now at the point where every single school in the nation should have at least one game played by the end of the weekend, and we are starting to get in to the spring break trips for the northern schools, so it is a busy week for many schools across the country. While none of those schools will be featured in our preview posts for the next couple weeks for only single-game match-ups, there are still some interesting tilts taking place.

Below, take a look at our Marquee Match-Up of the Week, as well as some of the most important series' from around the world of Division II baseball.

Game Four: CBU Earman (0-0, 9.00)/Chavarria (0-0, 4.50) vs DSU Abrath (1-0, 5.06)
(Projected pitching match-ups are based solely on prior rotation schedules and should not be considered official in any way)

Dixie State continues their gauntlet to begin the season with yet another high-quality opponent in California Baptist to kick off PacWest play. After facing Colorado Mesa last weekend, they get billing as part of the top series in the country this weekend with another high-profile series. These should be the top two teams in the PacWest conference, and should both be finding themselves in the West regional tournament to end the season. This series will give the winner a leg up on the rest of the conference for the rest of the season, or keep things tight all year long if the result is a split. CBU took game one of the series in extra innings on Thursday night, and I expect the remaining three games to be pretty similar.

Around the rest of the country, here are the series' to keep an eye on with potential ramifications that reach to the postseason:
